How old does my daughter need to be to participate?
Spring season is open to 5th-8th graders.
Summer season is open to all high schoolers as well as those players who feel they can compete at the high school level. We field three summer teams: Blue, White, and Grey.
When are the tryouts?
We hold tryouts for our spring teams in January. Summer tryouts are in March. Be sure to keep an eye out on our website calendar for the exact dates.
How long does the season last?
Spring practices begin approximately the third week of February. Tournaments typically run from late March through the end of April.
Summer practices begin in May. Tournament play starts at the beginning of June and concludes at the end of July.
How often does the team practice?
Spring teams and Summer Grey typically practice twice a week.
Summer travel teams (Blue & White) practice 2-3 times a week.
Where does the team practice?
All teams practice at Archbishop Mitty High School.
How many tournaments will the team participate in throughout the season?
Spring teams participate in 5 weekend tournaments.
Summer travel teams participate in approximately seven tournaments.
Summer Grey participates in the Foothill College Basketball League, a six-week competitive basketball league for incoming 9th-12th graders.
Where are the tournaments held?
Spring teams may travel as far as Sacramento, but most tournaments are held locally.
Summer travel teams play locally in addition to travelling to cities such as Portland, Chicago, and/or Vegas.
Summer Grey plays at Foothill College.

AAU MEMBERSHIP
All players must provide the club with an active AAU number no later than the first practice. Players will not be able to participate until we have an AAU number on file. Please note:
- This is an annual requirement.
- The AAU term is September 1 – August 31.
- Individual memberships cannot be renewed.
- We recommend that all players select the Regular Membership for $20.
- The San Jose Cagers AAU Club Code is W3Y4T6
If you have a current AAU card, follow the instructions below to enter the number.

Register your daughter. Be sure to PRINT and SAVE your confirmation.
Each player must have her own unique AAU Membership ID.
Once you have confirmed the AAU Membership, please log in to the San Jose Cagers site and update your daughter(s) AAU Membership Information in her registration. You can do so as follows:
- Go to www.sjcagers.com
- Log in (upper left corner)
- Select your Dashboard
- Select Registration
- Find the registration you need to edit (e.g., San Jose Cagers Fall 2018 Registration)
- Edit player “AAU Membership” at the bottom of the page
